Project Synopsis:

Demtech completed the demolition of a single 96 MW boiler building at Duck Creek Power Station in Canton, Illinois. The steel structure housed a boiler and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) components integral to power generation. The controlled explosive demolition of the steel boiler and SCR required coordinated planning and execution to manage the structural complexity and safely execute the blasting with no disturbances to local structures.
