BRIDGE CABLES/TOWERS

Project Synopsis:

Demtech was engaged in demolition related work associated with the eastbound towers and support of the demolition of cables for the I-74 cable suspension bridge in Bettendorf, Iowa. Spanning 3,372 feet in length, this bridge included substantial pier and cable infrastructure, making the scope both technically demanding and precision driven. The operations were conducted under the authority of the Iowa Department of Transportation and required close coordination with civil teams to ensure safe blasting execution adjacent to active transportation routes.
